1. Download the App
Get the RedNote app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The installation takes less than a minute.
2. Launch the App & Accept Terms
Open the app, and a welcome message will appear, followed by the user agreement and privacy policy. Tap the “Agree” button (highlighted in red) to continue.
3. Enable or Disable Notifications
A prompt will ask for permission to send notifications, including alerts and system sounds. You can choose “Allow” or “Don’t Allow” based on your preference.
4. Log In to Your Account
The login page will appear. Tap the red “Log In” button for the easiest sign-in option. There are other login methods available, including options for Chinese social media users. Before logging in, check the box confirming your agreement to the Terms, Privacy Policy, and Protection Rules for Children/Teenagers.
5. Enter Your Phone Number
Input your phone number and ensure the country code matches your location (e.g., +44 for the UK). You’ll receive a verification code via SMS—enter it to proceed. The verification process takes just a few seconds but may vary by country.
6. Select Your Gender
Choose your gender from the available options.
7. Enter Your Age
Provide your age to continue.
8. Choose Your Interests
Select topics that interest you, such as nail care, pets, life tips, and more.
9. Final Privacy Settings & Explore
A final message will appear, asking whether you want RedNote to track your activity across other apps and websites. You can select “Ask App Not to Track” or “Allow” based on your privacy preference.
